That's right folk(s) - I did actual work on the project today! I spent about an a hour and a half this morning cleaning up a lot of the code… so nothing appears to be different to the player, but I got rid of about a thousand lines of redundant stuff. I think a big part of my "creator's block" was the fact that I knew I had this relatively boring task to do.
And, well, now it's done! Most of the code was due to the fact that originally I had created all the 'night' events as separate entries (these are the ones that are darker in game). I decided to simplify things quite a bit and used the same 'mask' system I did for the sunset events which let me remove a shit ton of extra code. The only casualty in this system is the fact that there is no longer a period between 11:00 PM and midnight where the mother/sister are awake; they go to bed straight at 11:00 now. Hopefully not too much of a disappointment, as it also let me basically not try to troubleshoot some annoying logic/bugs that would creep in -- such as:

If you've had sex with one of them at 11:30 when they were awake, and it's now 12:15… are they awake, or 'asleep'? Should their room have the light on or not? Oye! So all 'resolved' -- which lets me get back to the fun stuff in the game!
Anyhow, no release with this 'update' as it would be boring to play. What's coming up next? Unsure -- I really want to nail down the mother/sister to get the game in a good place there before I work on adding more characters. I'm also toying with how long the game should 'last' -- the original 'Robozu' was over a month, which seems excessive for a game like this (especially given the replay mechanics I'm using). I'm thinking maybe 2 weeks? We'll see.
